As our first post lockdown trip, we will be running a beginners white water session at Howsham Weir.

Who is it for : Complete beginners to White Water. Those who have paddled on the outdoor pool, are confident on the water and used to wearing a spray deck.
You get book your place on the trip via the Club’s Events Portal where you will also find further information.
- Book your place on the trip via the portal. The session is free, but £5 hire costs to be paid via the portal if you require equipment.
- Complete the Equipment Form to specify what equipment you require for the trip, before 1200 on 8th May.
- Coaches will load cars/trailer
- Meet at Howsham Bridge at 1000 on 9th May
Dave Rawding and Andy Davies will be running the trip for 6 paddlers. They will cover all the basics of paddling white water: edging, entering the flow, exiting the flow, crossing and safety principles.
