Kingston were able to field 2 teams for this years championships;
Kingston A – Andy Lowthorpe, Andy Davies, Dave Rawding, Lee Larkin, Scott Rudkin & Stu Norris
Kingston Youth – Alex Lowthorpe, Sam Tasker, Claire Medina, Louise Gledhill, Shaun Smith & Stu Norris
The youth team played well all weekend against some tough competition, the majority of which seemed much older then you’d expect form youth teams!
The A Team on the other hand had mixed fortunes; day 1 saw a few heavy defeats notably a 13 – 5 loss to Meridian A. Things started to turn in their favour beating Tee Tigers A comfortably 8 – 5. Day 2 saw them move back up the results, to their bemusement in a play off position to take them through to the 3rd/4th play offs against Dragon. Despite and early lead Dragons experience was too much and Kingston lost the game 3-2. The next game saw them playing for 5th or 6th against Avon A, a team they met on day one and drawn with. Unfortunately after 2.5 hours of polo the Team had nothing left to give and suffered a 5-0 defeat to leave them 6th place. All in all an excellent weekend and results for both teams.
