Coaching Rota

All the KKC coaches follow the NGB guidance around qualification and revalidation. Supporting volunteer coaches in their personal development is a primary consideration of the club. This ensures that coaches efforts are recognised and that the club can provide high quality opportunities for all members. Support is provided through mentoring, financial assistance and assistance with portfolio creation.

The Club holds full details of all Coaches qualifications and this is available on request chair@kkc.org.uk

Indoor Pool

Coaching on the indoor pool is done on a rota basis. This is so the workload is spread out amongst our volunteer coaches, making best use of their available time and also ensures that paddlers get quality coaching from a variety of different coaches with skills and specialisations in different aspects of canoeing.

Please Note: Rota has been changed after last coaches meeting. Rota is based on once every 2 weeks regardless of whether there is a bank holiday/no session.

The Coaching rota is as follows:

Team 1

Team 2

Dave Rawding

Gareth Jones

Andy Davies

Lesley Medina

Alex Owen

Alex MacKenzie

Luke Robinson

Linda MacKenzie

Neil Ward

Meg Rudkin

Carl Gledhill

Team 1 will be coaching 21st January then every other week
Team 2 will be coaching 28th January and every other week

If you would like to join a coaching team please get in touch, more volunteers are always welcome.

From time to time we arrange first aid, coaching, life guarding and pool controller courses.
