Each year Kingston Kayak Club run a ranking slalom competition in association with Lower Wharf canoe club at Howsham Weir. This years event is on the weekend of 24th/25th July. As well as the usual Division 2, Division 3 and Open races this year we will be running a short course Division 4 event below the weir.
Howsham Weir Slalom 2009
As happened last year individuals results will count towards their clubs points in the Yorkshire Region Club Championships. The winners of which win the right to represent Yorkshire next year at the National Interclubs Competition held at Cardington each year.
We will also be holding a Topo Duo Fun race after the slalom competition on Saturday

There is quite a lot of resurfacing work being undertaken on the A1079, so if using the A1079 to get to Howsham suggest you turn off at the Pocklington (B1247) then head for Fangfoss/Full Sutton and then the A166.
Water levels looked good last night.
