Every couple of years Kingston Kayak Club empties the outdoor pool. This allows us to check the fabric of the pool, clean the bottom and refresh the water. It all started early Friday morning with the releasing of the valve to empty the pool. This took 6 hours to reduce to a level ready for Saturday morning.
10am Saturday we had a great turn out of club members. Some set about cleaning the pool, others the club house and a few weeding the areas around the pool and buildings. Everyone did a fantastic job.
The main bulk of the work was completed on the Saturday, but a number of members returned on the Sunday to finish jet washing the sides and final clear up. We are now waiting for some repair work to be done before refilling.
