UKCC Level 1 Coaching Certificate – Friday, January 13-15th & 20th-22th, 2012

Want to become a paddlesport coach then this is the course for you. This is the first step into coaching. This is for anybody that is interested in encouraging others into paddlesport. This a fully residential 4 day course split over two weekends, based at Aldwark Scout Activity Centre on the River Ure. As a level 1 coach you can deliver taster sessions and assist higher level coaches. The minimum age for this course is 16 years.

UKCC Level 2 Coaching Certificate Training Course – Friday, January 13-15th & 20th-22th, 2012

The UKCC Level 2 Coaching award is very exciting, and very hands on. You will learn lots of new coaching theories and processes, which previously were given on level 5 or the Coaching process courses. The Level 2 UKCC Certificate in Paddlesport Coaching award is relevant to potential coaches from all paddlesport disciplines including coaches who might work with competitive and non-competitive paddlers. The award develops the foundation coaching skills taught at level 1 that will underpin their future coaching behaviours and practice. The training, like Level 1, will aim to ensure coaches develop skills that will benefit any paddler irrespective of what type of boat they are paddling. The Level 2 coach is able to work alone, delivering sessions safely and effectively. The Level 2 coach is able to offer guidance and support to the Level 1 Assistant Coach.

These courses include food and accommodation for both weekends.

What do we mean by match funded? Match funding is where the candidate pays £75 whilst his/her club pays £75 and Canoe England pays £75. For more details on this, please contact your Local Coaching Organiser or myself.
