Pocklington Canal Thanks to everyone who gave. ![]() Andy Lowthorpe received a Youth Volunteer Award on Friday 26th March 10 in the category of “Sticking With it”. The Awards Ceremony was held at Kingston Suite, KC Stadium. Joy and Geoff Davis nominated him for the award. Andy Lowthorpe with Joy Davis This challenging canoe race allows you to race your heart out whilst marvelling at the wonders of the industrial revolution. The race route runs anticlockwise from near Macclesfield along the Macclesfield canal to Marple then follows the Peak Forest, Ashton and Rochdale canals into Manchester joining the Bridgewater canal at Castlefield. The route heads out to Simon Beasly is planning some sea kayaking trips, working towards 3 star in the near future. Interested people must have 2 star award, (old or new) and access to a sea kayak, most of the training at Flamborough or nearby. Kingston A (Andy Lowthorpe, Dan Rawding, Dave Rawding, Scott Rudkin, Leighton James, Andy Davies & Stu Norris) came 5th overall. I am planning to run the following training sessions in association with Yorkshire Slalom. From what I can determine this fits in with the 2nd week of Hull and East Riding Schools Easter Holidays. Monday, 5th. April Tuesday, 6th. April Wednesday, 7th. April Nominations for all Committee posts welcome. 8pm to 9pm in the club house. All members welcome. The Humber Sports Partnership, have been commissioned by Hull CVS Volunteer Centre to deliver the Running Sports course ‘Valuing your Sports’ Volunteers’ which is aimed at voluntary sport club representatives who manage volunteers across Hull and East Riding.
